Why This IS The Best Dice Game Ever

  • Where there is Bunco, there is good food!

  • What other dice game becomes a party?

  • When you are playing, you forget about lifes worries!

  • Who doesn't like to get together with friends?

  • Why not start a Bunco group of your own?

How-To and The Essentials

  • 12 Chairs

  • 3 Card Tables

  • 12 Pencils or pens

  • 3 Spiral Notebooks

    and score card

    pads

  • 9 Dice

  • A Bell

  • Prizes; money

    or planned theme

    gifts

  • $5 to ?? to play the game

  • Beverages and snacks

  • Supply each table with three dice, spiral notebook, score sheet pad, and a pencil for each player. Place a bell on the head table.
  • Divide twelve players into three groups of four people. Two teams sit at each table; teammates sit opposite each other.
  • Assign the tables as the head, middle and bottom. At the end of a round, the winning team advances to the next table. Losers at the head table move to the bottom table.
  • Begin playing when the scorekeeper at the head table rings the bell. Keep score at each table.
  • Starting with ones, roll your three dice. Continue to roll until your roll earns no points (ie no ones rolled). Play then moves to the left.
  • Continue to play at your table until a team at the head table scores 21 points or more - at which time, the scorekeeper rings the bell again.
  • Change partners after every round, with one player moving to the seat to the right before the next team arrives.
  • Play six rounds per set and at least two sets per game. The winner is the player with the most wins, though some groups award prizes in categories such as most Buncos and most losses.

Get That Party Started

My ideas are added to each of these themes. Make sure to leave yours in the guest book

Dress up as your favorite star or play "Guess This Movie Quote" at intermission. Fun: Last Bunco gets a cheesy 'B' movie DVD!

Everyone brings new or gently used baby supplies to donate to your local woman's shelter. Fun: Bring your baby picture to play "Who's Who" at intermission.

Start off Spring with a bang, go alternative and have all your guests dress 60's hippie-style. Fun: Make special flower seed packets for all your guests.

You don't have to stay over, just dress the part. All jammies, sexy to grammie accepted. Fun: Give the best vote a pair of fuzzy pink love slippers!

Bring the color and flavor of 'Italiano' to your party! Make pizzas fresh or order in. Fun: Serve Asti Spumante as one of your beverages.

Perfect theme for June as your last hoorah 'til fall or if it's an only woman's Bunco include those significant other's who know how to bar-be-que! Fun: Everyone brings their favorite salad!
